Sophie’s Safecracking Simulator v1.2
Posted: August 20, 2021 Filed under: Patreon Leave a comment »So it has now been a month of working on this project, and I’m juuuuuuuuuust about finished doing the “work” on it. There are just a couple of minor UI behaviour tweaks to make and I think I’ll be able to call it complete.
Then I just have the work of putting it on steam, making a proper trailer, that kind of junk. Maybe I’ll port it to mobile too if it doesn’t seem like it’s going to be too much extra work.
Oh I should probably note some stuff about what is new here:
- Wheels can have moveable flies, this makes the sim WAY more detailed and means turning left or right to a number will place any moved gates to the same position regardless
- You can set lock ‘tolerance’, for a wider fence. Wider fence means you need to be more precise with the numbers you enter in combination (I don’t recommend it unless you want a really monotonous challenge!)
- Gamepad rumble, so you can really feel the mechanisms inside the lock as you turn
- Lock seeds, liked a lock and want to share it with a friend? Send them the seed! You can also seal messages inside a safe when you generate a lock, that message is encrypted as part of the seed and isn’t decrypted until the lock is cracked!
- Game settings! You can finally adjust resolution/graphics/audio settings! It’s like a professionally made thing now!
- Improved models/lighting/lots of stuff!
- LOTS of fixes!
That’s it! As ever, thanks for your support! I’d not be able to make weird things like this without your help! <3
GrapBall Prototype
Posted: August 20, 2021 Filed under: Patreon Leave a comment »Sorry for not having much to give you Extra Stuff tier folks lately, most of my recent work has gone out to everybody – so here’s a prototype just for you!
Anyway, I do love you, happy new year, have fun!
(Mac/Linux users may need to do your “chmod +x” business on this since it was built on windows, sorry – my mac has the wrong version of unity installed rn)
Extra Stuff Video Update – May 21
Posted: August 20, 2021 Filed under: Patreon Leave a comment »I tried to keep it short but it’s like 10 minutes again, I’m sorry!
Anyway the tl;dw is:
- I’m making stuff
- I’m tired
- I love you <3
What do you want for October’s monthly build?
Posted: August 20, 2021 Filed under: Patreon Leave a comment »So my plan for monthly builds is that normally I’ll just share whatever game I happen to be working on that month, but the game I’m working on now is one I’m gonna release to you this month anyway.
So I’ve been thinking about what I could give you this month and I figured you could pick 🙂
Option 1) Halloween Game
You get the game I’m working on now, once it reaches the point where it’s playable start-to-finish. It’ll probably be mostly whitebox environments (perfect blocktober aesthetic :P) and have reeeeeaaaaallllllllly bad first draft writing. The plus sides are you get to see the gameplay a little early and it should be ready pretty soon (I hope) so you shouldn’t have to wait too long.

Option 2) Robin Platform Game
Earlier this year I was working on a 3D platforming game with a little robin. There isn’t much to it (just a level which is more for mechanics/art testing than actual gameplay). This game has largely been shelved but if you’re curious how far I take some things before I realise they aren’t worth pursuing this might be interesting for you.

Option 3) Phone Phantom
Phone Phantom was a game I made for an Indie Buskers jam (like Rose & Time), it’s a first-person game where you possess people by telephoning them, and then going through computers and stuff to find other telephone numbers. It’s playable from start to finish but the writing is bad and all the voice acting is by me (from before I got a bit more confident so it’s also very bad), and also all the art is rubbish. But it is probably the closest thing to a “complete” game by me that nobody has ever played (except the few folk who tipped during the indie buskers jam)

Sophie’s Dice v1.4 (2-year Anniversary!)
Posted: August 20, 2021 Filed under: Patreon Leave a comment »Hey, so it has been two years to the day since I first shared my dice app with you, which I think is cool, and today I have a new version which is a little bit better than the one from 2018.
I go over the main things in the video above, but if you want the highlights without watching a 15 minute video:
- Drag & drop dice to/from the hotbar to clear/add them
- Dice spindown is now supported
- New menus & improved UI (including a WAY better colour selector)
- 14 new dice shapes
- 22 new included images
- More example rolls & dice
- New roll expression features and functions
- Lots of fixes!
I still have a lot to do for this release (updating documentation, stores, update posts etc) but those will take forever and I wanted to celebrate this anniversary by giving you the dice now <3
As always, thanks for the support, and I’m wishing you a happier new year too!
Just a note for the mac/linux versions: I have no idea if these work rn. I’ve done everything I can and they *should* be good, but it’s out of my hands today 🙁
